Guide · Your data
Not a Microsoft product, not inside your meeting. Call State reads button states in Teams and sends only small status data — never your content.
Call State never asks for a Microsoft login and never uses Microsoft sign-in keys. It is an independent tool and never signs in to Teams for you.
Call State does not join your call. Other people do not see it in the participant list, and it cannot hear or record anything.
Each button has a fixed name that Teams gives it, like “Unmute mic”. Call State reads that name and whether the button is on or off — never anything of yours: no text, messages, documents or pictures.
Separately, your account stores your email, a value from your password and billing details — card details go only to Stripe. If you turn on MQTT, the desktop app also sends the same status data to the MQTT broker you choose, usually one in your own network. More questions about your data
